Policies

• Violating the privacy of Centralink members, or CAC computer users. (e.g. Gaining, or attempting to gain, access to another person's files or data)
• Using profanity, obscenity, or abusive language which may offend other users, or displaying any such offensive language on-screen.
• Downloading, storing, or printing files. or messages that are profane and obscene, which might offend or degrade others.
• Using the Internet to engage in behaviour (e.g. Posting or accessing information) that in any manner violates federal, provincial or local laws.
• Using the Internet for direct financial gain (e.g. Operating online sales from CAC)
• Sending or passing on Chain letters and pyramid schemes to lists and individuals.
• Using more than two "time reservation blocks" of Internet during one visit. (Remember only 1 hour per visit.)
• Intentional spreading of computer viruses.
• Failing to sign Centralink's User Schedule and Sign In sheet. (It states that you have read this policy.)
• Circumventing security measures on CAC, school, or remote computers and/or networks.
• Copying or pirating computer software, data, or CD audio in violation of copyright laws.
• Falsifying one's identity while using the Internet.
• Posting the names, home addresses, telephone numbers, or credit card numbers of themselves, or any other users onto the Internet.
• Participating in any newsgroup, listserver, chatroom, or classifieds listing, whose subject material is not suitable for all users.
• Installing or downloading software onto Centralink's CAC computers.
