Generations: A History of the One Room Schools of the Fort Augustus Area
This site is dedicated to the history of the one room schoolhouses which preceded the Fort Augustus Consolidated School and the brand new school in Donagh. The information on this site was compiled by students from Fort Augustus School as a class project which was funded by the provincial government's Between Generations initiative through the Fort Augustus Tech Center. In researching this project groups of students interviewed seniors in the community who had attended these small community schools. They then used the information they gained to write essays about each school.
