initiated in the spring of 1998. The Tech Center is a division of the

to computers and the internet.

        FATC Plans:
The Fort Augustus Tech Center has plans of implementing
programs that will take place during normal tech centre hours for
adults as well as camps for students from grades 2 to 9. We currently
have 18 computers that the public can use for free.

        Hours:
Throughout the school year the CAP site will be open from 7-9 p.m.
on Tuesday night. If you would like to volunteer to keep
the site open for a longer time during the winter months,
contact Kerry Quinn

        Computer Camps:
The Fort Augustus Tech Centre is currently holding camps for
children entering grade two to grade nine. The camps will run
for three hours a day for one week. There is a cost of twenty-five
dollars per student. The children from grades 2-3 will learn beginner
computer which will include typing, managing files, and some word
processing. Children from grades 4-9 will learn how to make their
own website and move files.
